Siro Barro Fernández
Head of the Tax Area
Siro Barro is Partner in charge of the Tax Area. He joined the Firm in May 2012.
Previously, he worked as a lawyer in the Tax Law Departments of CUATRECASAS (from October 2001 to September 2005); PwC Tax & Legal Services (from September 2005 to July 2006) and BAKER & McKENZIE (from July 2006 to May 2012).
His professional practice focuses on the area of tax law, providing comprehensive advice in this area, both to individuals and legal entities (residents and non-residents), in various sectors (banking, industrial, services, Fintech, Pharma, etc.) and in both direct and indirect taxation.
This includes, among others, international taxation and movement of persons, wealth and corporate planning in M&A transactions, representation of clients in tax inspection and management procedures, due diligence, tax regularization processes, advice on this matter in real estate transactions, as well as ongoing tax advice to Family Offices and SMEs.
Siro Barro completes his professional practice with teaching activities at the Garrigues-European University Study Centre and at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía and is a regular contributor to the media and author of several articles and publications in specialist journals.
